This amount is returned after the checkout. If you plan to live in an apartment, then you will probably be asked to leave a security deposit - this is a common practice when renting an apartment.

Single (SGL) - single room or single accommodation in a double room. Double (DBL) - double room with one double bed. Twin (TWN) - double room with two separate beds. Triple (TRPL) - a room with three fixed beds (3 single beds or 1 double + 1 single bed). DBL + EXB - a double room with one double bed and a third extra bed. Duplex is a two-story room. De luxe is a room with enhanced comfort. Suite is a two-room suite of superior comfort. Junior Suite - a superior room. Senior Suite - a 2-room (bedroom + living room) superior suite. The hotel standard, issued in 1989, regulates the procedure for assigning stars to hotels. In those years, at the session of the World Tourism Organization, documents were adopted containing items that today are no longer "luxury" features. That is why a five-star hotel can sometimes match the quality of service to hotels with fewer stars. Also the star status in Costa Rica is assigned by the Ministry of Tourism, based on national standards.

In most cases, you can cancel your booking for free up to 24 hours before check-in time. In addition, there are special offers that allow you to cancel your booking one hour before the check-in time. Cancellation charges may apply if rooms are booked at a deep discount. Sometimes you can meet completely non-refundable rates. During the high season in Costa Rica, rooms are being sold out faster and hotels typically tighten up booking conditions to reduce cancellations. In most cases, the guest cannot independently choose the floor, but at the same time he can indicate his wishes in the booking request or say them by contacting the hotel directly (by phone or e-mail). In cases where the demand for room stock is low, hotels can take into account the wishes of customers.

The room rate includes accommodation and services listed in the room category. When booking online, you can view the list by clicking on the name of the room. The Conditions column indicates whether breakfast rates, taxes and fees set by the government or the municipality in Costa Rica are included.
