The French city of Bordeaux is the world's center of winemaking. It also has a rich history and is famous for its architecture, magnificent parks, and exquisite cuisine. Therefore, it is one of the most visited French cities by tourists. There are many hotels to accommodate guests in Bordeaux with a varied and high quality service.
Hotelhunter has collected offers from different booking services so you can compare hotels and choose the one that best suits your needs. When choosing your hotel location in Bordeaux, consider the following information:
- The Old Town is the place where the main attractions are concentrated, and the main shopping street of the city is also located here;
- Western part of the city - there are quiet and prestigious areas;
- The southern part of the city is the location of university educational buildings and dormitories.
All these areas are recommended for living, however, from the western and southern areas you will have to get to the attractions by public transport. If you're heading to Bordeaux for some fun, we recommend checking out the Quai du Paludate area, which is the heart of the city's nightlife.
You shouldn't choose accommodation near the central station, although you can book a hotel here at a very low price. The station is located not far from the historic part, but mostly expats live here, so the security is low. We also do not recommend settling on the eastern bank of the Garonne, as it is long and inconvenient to get to the center or other interesting places from here.
